This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards and requirements for approval of providers of continuing education in podiatric medicine through a joint provider agreement between the William L. Goldfarb Foundation and TPMA. The William L. Goldfarb Foundation is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine. The William L. Goldfarb Foundation has approved this activity for a maximum of 20 continuing education contact hours.

2019 Annual Meeting Highlights

PHYSICIANS’ CME PROGRAM: TPMA’s 2019 Annual Meeting will include an outstanding CME program for both physicians and podiatric medical assistants. This year’s Physicians’ CME program will begin on Thursday morning (Sept. 19th at 9:00 AM and continue until Noon on Sunday, September 22nd. A copy of the complete program, which includes nationally known lecturers from across the country, is attached. The cadaver lab segment of the meeting will be held on Thursday afternoon involving a number of different companies. Following the cadaver labs, PICA will provide its Risk Management Presentation. We are once again very appreciative of PICA offering this program at this year’s TPMA meeting.

PODIATRIC MEDICAL ASSISTANTS’ PROGRAM: We will once again offer two tracks of coursework for Podiatric Medical Assistants. The Assistants program will begin at 1:30 pm on Friday and will conclude Saturday at 5:00pm. A Radiology certification course will be offered on Saturday as Track 1. This will include the testing required under state law for assistant x-ray safety certification. In addition, Track 2 will be offered on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. It will focus on practice management subject matter. The faculty for Track 2 will be provided the American Society of Podiatric Medical Assistants and copies of the programs are attached. Friday’s portion of Track 2 is available for all Medical Assistants on Friday afternoon including those attending x-ray safety course on Saturday.

SPECIAL EVENTS: This year's meeting will include lots of fun, music, food and beverages as usual. TPMA, PICA and other companies will host a reception on Friday evening. The traditional Grand Opening Reception will be held on Friday evening in the exhibit hall. Breakfast and lunch for doctors will be served on both Friday and Saturday. The TPMA’s Sports Bar will be held again on Saturday evening. Medical Assistants will be served breakfast and lunch on Saturday.

REGISTRATION FEE: There will be no registration fee for TPMA members who have paid their 2019-2020 APMA and TPMA dues in full prior to August 1, 2019. The registration fees for other podiatrists and medical assistants are listed on the online and printable registration forms.

HOTEL ROOM RESERVATION: HOTEL ROOM RESERATIONS IN THE TPMA ROOM BLOCK MUST BE MADE BY AUGUST 28, 2019. After that date, any unused rooms in the block will only be available at a higher rate. In order to make certain that you can reserve under the TPMA room block, we would suggest you call the hotel at 615-261-6100 and make your reservation(s) as soon as possible.
